Roof Leak Repair in Edmonton AB, December 2014 and July 2015

Below you will find an assessment and field report from the Edmonton roof leak repair crew for a residential client. The roof had been experiencing leaks on two occasions due to a lack of proper ventilation and insulation. Assessment, December 12 2014: By the time we had arrived, the leaking had stopped. However, our client still had buckets out in her kitchen for water collection. The client also showed me the garage, where there appeared to be water damaged on the ceiling. Again, no evident leaking at the time of assessment. A roof inspection was also completed, and we found 4 in. of ice damming.

Installation, July 20 2015: When I arrived on-site, the client showed me two leaks. One was in the living room and another in a bedroom. Both leaks were in line with each other. On the roof, a crack running half the length of the roof was found - the same cracked that was fixed the year before. The crack had probably reoccurred due to a lack of insulation and venting. We fixed the crack again with LR and the client was notified about the insulation and ventilation.

Flat Roof Drain Repair Edmonton, July 1, 2015.

Article: Tar And Gravel Flat Roof Drain Repair Edmonton Alberta To Commercial Building.

Below you will find a report from the flat roof repair crew in Edmonton Alberta conducting there report and repairs.  October 29, 2014: Assessment Completed  The client has two leaks. Originally it was one, but the manager said it was two. He then showed me leak number one.  It is in the center of the store. When I got up to roof, the roof was in good shape and I couldn't find the leak but upon further investigation the leak is coming from the drain. There are multiple seams in the drain pipe and I would recommend that two u-flows be installed in that drain, by the way it was designed it would need two.
There are multiple holes in the wall that need to be plugged as water can and is getting in there and most certainly the cause of the leak
4 to 6 man hours to complete

Flat Roof Drain Repair Edmonton, January 23, 2015

Below you will find a report from the flat roof repair crew in Edmonton Alberta conducting their report and repairs. A material list is also made available, as specified in the crew's report. When I got to the site, I confirmed what the crew had thought: the drain had a hole punched through it and was leaking back into the system. The site supervisor went to pick up the required supplies and we worked on removing water in the area. Once he got back, we installed the retro-drain with a proper U-Flow® Mechanical Seal and tied it back into the torch on the roof.

Edmonton Roof Drain Repair, June 2014

This report deals with a leak inside the building from a drain pipe coming from the roof. GRS arrived on location to find that it was not a problem with the roof itself, but was able to fix the client's concern and resolve the job quickly. Our crew member arrived to the site and met with the maintenance supervisor to see where the leak was coming into the building. Upon further investigation, the leak was not coming from the newly-built roof itself, but rather from a drain pipe that was plumbed through the inside of the building. The drain pipe's access fitting near the ground entry was loose and required more sealant. Having brought roofing tools unsuited to this particular job (this is a plumbing concern, not roofing), our crew member went to the local shop to pick up the necessary supplies. Returning to the site, the access fitting was quickly sealed and secured, resolving the problem.   20140611_085315_resized 20140611_085324_resized 20140611_085340_resized 20140611_085539_resized 20140611_085543_resized 20140611_095912_resized 20140611_095919_resized 20140611_095921_resized 20140611_085303_resized < End Report > CODE: 12828 Contact Us Call our 24 hour emergency roof repair at 1.780.424.7663. Lloydminster Roof Slippage Repairs and Standard Maintenance, August 9 2010

Below you will find a report from the Lloydminster roof repair crew. The client requested a routine maintenance for water leakage and replacement of weathered roof components.  The sloped roof area (measuring 31’x29′) is showing major BUR slippage. Section replacement should be attended to as a short term solution. I repaired the top edge of the sloped roof area with mesh and SOPRAMASTIC, which were deficient due to the aforementioned slippage. As well, note that the asphalt layer was separated from the metal edge detail on the roof (I did not use primer for this).

The remainder of pending issues were corrected with caulking and cleaning the drain system, which was very clogged. I attributed some portion of the leak to this, which may have been resulting in residual pooling.
